Three brochures on the education of migrant children in Serbia

By engaging educational institutions in Serbia, as of 2015/16 school year, 98 percent of children from the migrant population are included in the education system.

For this school year, the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development has prepared three brochures on the education of migrant children in Serbia: a brochure with examples of teaching activities, a brochure with examples of extracurricular activities and a brochure with works of migrant children. The brochures were printed bilingually, in Serbian and English, and were prepared as part of the EU Support to Migration Management in Serbia and delivered to schools.

Although education is a basic human right, migrant children and asylum seekers face barriers to accessing quality education during their refugee journey.

The Republic of Serbia strives to provide all conditions for the education of migrant children, in accordance with the relevant international conventions.
