Migrants are provided with complete health care

The migrant population has been continuously provided with all health services at all three levels of health care – primary, secondary, and tertiary.

Medical teams engaged in outpatient clinics at reception centers and asylum centers provide daily health services at the primary level of health care.

In addition to health services, in order to maintain a favorable epidemiological situation in the centers, the territorially competent public health institutes regularly conduct hygienic epidemiological surveillance.

By May 2021, only 50 migrants were tested positive for the Covid-19 virus. With adequate therapy and examination, they were successfully cured thanks to the good and timely response of the medical teams.

Medical services for migrants are provided within the EU Support to Migration Management in Serbia.
