Within the second benchmark for opening of the negotiation on Chapter 12– Food Safety, Veterinary and Phytosanitary Policy, special emphasis has been given to the adoption of a detailed action plan addressing the Classical Swine Fever (CSF) prevention.

The PLAC II Project provided assistance to the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management in drafting of Action plan for the control and eradication of CSF for domestic pigs and wild boars after vaccination is discontinued.

During one‐day workshop organised on the 15th March for the representatives of the Ministry, Veterinary Directorate and NG for Ch12, the main elements of the proposed Action plan, and the corresponding requirements of the relevant EU aquis were presented by Sanja Šeparović, the PLAC II project expert. The topics of the workshop included CSF Changing policy – obligations and responsibilities, as well as the content, responsibility and deadlines within the CSF Action Plan.
