{"id":8980,"date":"2018-05-28T14:29:44","date_gmt":"2018-05-28T13:29:44","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/euinfo.rs\/plac2\/?p=8980"},"modified":"2018-10-01T12:08:37","modified_gmt":"2018-10-01T11:08:37","slug":"evropske-integracije-i-advokatura-kljucna-pitanja-i-izazovi","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/euinfo.rs\/plac2\/en\/evropske-integracije-i-advokatura-kljucna-pitanja-i-izazovi\/","title":{"rendered":"European Integration and the Legal Profession &#8211; Key Questions and Challenges"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Having in mind the specifics of the attorney-at-law\/lawyer profession, which is autonomous and independent profession under the Constitution of the Republic of Serbia, prior to drafting of national legislation harmonised with EU acquis, it is necessary to familiarise the lawyers, as active partners in the harmonisation and EU integration process, with the future changes, consequences and benefits.<\/p>\n<p>To that end, the \u201cWorkshop on EU Integration and the Legal Profession &#8211; Key Questions and Challenges\u201d, was organised with the Ministry of Justice and Bar Association of Serbia on 15<sup>th<\/sup> May, with the aim of informing lawyers of the impact of EU legislation in the area of freedom of movement for persons and services related to the practice of the lawyers\u2019 profession in scope of Chapter 3 acquis.<\/p>\n<p>Following the\u00a0 introduction to EU integration by the representatives of the Ministry of Justice, Ivana Nin\u010di\u0107 and Branislav Stojanovi\u0107, the PLAC II Project Expert Jonathan Goldsmith presented the provisions of Directives 98\/5\/EC, 2005\/36\/EC and 77\/249\/EEC, including the relevant jurisprudence of the Court of the EU.
