The assistance focused on improving the understanding of the intentions of the Fourth AML (anti\u2010money\u00a0laundering) Directive and implications of further liberalisation of short\u2010term capital movements on the system for prevention of money laundering and terrorism financing.<\/p>\n<p>The participants of the workshop \u201cPrevention of Money Laundering in Legal and Practical Terms\u201d organised on 28 April, were familiarised\u00a0 with\u00a0 legal\u00a0 and\u00a0 practical\u00a0 aspects\u00a0 of\u00a0 prevention\u00a0 of\u00a0 money\u00a0 laundering\u00a0 and\u00a0 terrorism\u00a0 financing\u00a0 with the assistance of two PLAC II project experts. Talking about the need for preventative money laundering legislation, Paul Barnes presented the forms and effects of money laundering, as well as the impact of anti-money laundering regulation.
